Well, this is embarrassing...but funny!

For the past five weeks or so, I've been ultra busy at work.  Plus I had not one, but two headcolds, a slew of Emily's health issues to deal with, etc., etc., plus my brother's stuff to tiptoe through.

Somewhere in there I accidentally started to send all my emails from LJ to my spam filter.  What the heck?  Ray figured it out after I whined at him just one more time about why they weren't coming through properly.  He suggested one of the cats did it (they're fond of standing on my laptop as they look out the window at the birds) but I bet I did in a moment of inattention.

Not only that, but the night I blew up at Emily, I guess I dropped my laptop a bit too hard, and the screen's been gorked ever since.  It looks like nothing so much as a brightly-lit glass window which has been caked with snow blown on during a blizzard.  Given the time of year, that's not inappropriate, and given everything else that's been going on, I pretty much chalked it up to stupidity.  The funny thing is, as each day has gone by, the appearance has improved.  Less and less of the screen is the glaring white which gives me headaches.  Ray's theory is that somehow some air got into the gel-like substance in the screen, and as time goes on it's getting "cooked" out.

So I guess it's official.  My computer has that most common of middle-age maladies.

Yup, my computer has gas.  *Snerk*
