It was with good timing, given my recent nostalgia for Portland (home of many microbreweries, and thus home to the first
theater-pubs I know of), that last night found me at one of the
Speakeasy Theaters. (My apologies to
rhiannonstone for going without her, but having been to one, I still want to check out the other, so our plan is still in motion!)
What else? The
Cerrito Speakeasy is too new to have developed much character yet, but it is cozy to watch a movie from a couch. One can sit close to one's date, and drink a beverage from a real glass, and munch on the various foods they offer. Other notes? Casino Royale is an entertaining film, and Daniel Craig makes a good James Bond.
And if later there were a few smooches in the dark of a parked car, that wouldn't be anybody's business, would it? So that, dear readers, is all I'm going to say on that.
