I crashed HARD after The Vagina Monologues. We sold out, and our production raised $2200. Considering the challenges at Crazy College, I feel pretty damn good about myself. 10% goes to organizations working to end violence against women in Iraq, and 90% goes to the Heartly House in Frederick--a shelter and support center for victims of domestic violence & sexual assault.
I did my part to fight the good fight, and no wonder most folks stay home instead of fighting the man: It's freaking exhausting.
In other news, I had to pick a new play to direct this spring at Crazy College because not enough students came out to do The Bald Soprano (Yeah,
Rev. E, I know there's only six in the cast), I saw the new film version of The Merchant of Venice twice this weekend (once in a private screening), I had a girlfriend from grad school in town all weekend (students weren't up to the triple orgasm scene in TVM) & convinced her to move to Baltimore AND I still found time to learn to love whiskey.
My new thing: turning bugs into features.
. . . And so to bed.
