I watched Zerophilia last night. I thought it was cute and somewhat novel, albeit often trite and predictable. Has anybody else on my list seen it? I'd like to know what you thought.
hehe honestly, I thought the Mike-Michelle shower scene was really hot.
I think it was indeed a cute concept but ultimately there are places it could've taken the concept, but didn't. I think it also suffers from the general one-off sci-fi/fantasy malady that "the rules of this bizarre, paranormal phenomenon are subject entirely to plot convenience and aren't hugely logical". An example is "Just Like Heaven" with Mark Ruffalo and Reese Witherspoon - a ghostlike phenomenon takes on rules that don't quite make sense but just happen to allow the plot to work out.
That being said I would love it if the experience of body-shifting was that easy, and I'm sure many others would find it a really exciting idea. Somebody ran with that idea and made up a fantasia on the theme.
that's pretty much what i thought, too. and i really thought the mike-michelle scene was hot, too. very hot. i also really liked a lot of the closing scenes with all the fucking and gender fucking and whatnot. hot.
hehe yeah. Also the whole "if you have sex with a Z you transform" idea is a little too cut and dry... what counts as sex especially if it's not heterosexual? If only one of them orgasms, will only one of them transform? If Luca and Mike do it, and then Lucas is done but Michelle has a second orgasm, will she turn back into Mike?
And what about a three-way with another Z? Now that would be some real gender fun ;)
Yeah, it was of course too tidy. And there had to be some sort of caveat thing going on, because there was definitely a moment in the whole sex montage near the end where I saw Lucas and Mike chilling together. I actually cheered, and it was my second favorite part of the movie, because it definitely implied that they fucked. Very hot.
