Week Of Financial WTF

Nov 23, 2008 22:50

The pattern in my life: when I zero out a balance, I am rendered homeless shortly thereafter. Most recently, one week before the fire, I had paid off a credit card. And of course that card balance has been growing because I was in an emergency situation. I've been trying to keep it at zero, but keep getting stopped.

This week: mysterious $453 charge that is apparently being taken care of. Still an annoyance.

Also this week: storage space company says I am delinquent in my payment, which is odd since they have my credit card number and I asked for AutoPay. They said they'd take care of it, but still charged a $40 late fee. They get a stern letter.

I neglected to think about what I'm going to do when I get kicked out of the corporate apartment in a couple of days. Fortunately some coworkers are leaving for Thanksgiving, so I'll get to stay there for a few days and play with kitties. And another coworker can probably accomodate me for a few days after that. Mickey's trying to get me in as soon as possible. So I think I only have one night of actually being homeless. I suppose I could get a hotel, but maybe I want adventure!
