Now I Face The Final Book

As many have noticed, I joined Facebook last night. I assume it's safe to do so now, since my 10 year high school reunion (if there was one) would have been last year, so nobody's going to look for me to pressure into going to that nonsense.

That said, I provided info on the high schools I attended, and Facebook spat out a lot of people I remember, but I didn't add any as friends. Mostly it's because I don't know these people any more, and getting updates about what they bought at Ikea this weekend means even less to me than what my current friends bought at Ikea this weekend.

One observation: it seems everybody from high school looks really different now. Big people are small, small people are big, blondes are brunettes, etc. It's like they're all in an advanced witness protection program. I had to really look at those pictures to recognize them, even with the names right there. I assume I look pretty much the same (I still wear clothing I had in 7th grade), just a bit thinner in the face and less hair (thinning out on top, and several inches shorter - I was a worthless longhair in one of those schools). But maybe I'm wildly different as well. Yeah, I'm probably a completely mutated form of my previous self. But since I'm still alive, it must be a good mutation.
