What Part Of "Never Again" Don't You Understand?

Sep 05, 2007 19:32

So every flight I've booked the last few years has been "one last chance" for the airlines. I felt really good a year ago when a flight was only delayed three hours - that's the best it's been since 2002! But I only got cancellations after that, and we all know my most recent experience has led me to procaim "never again." I will bus or train unless there is a dire need (like the Residents announce a concert in San Francisco happening in a week).

My sister emailed me yesterday, telling me about some flights she had checked out, costing $470. I responded: $470 is far far too much for "maybe we'll get you there." No more flying. I will take a train or bus.

Today she wrote back: What if mom paid for your flight? It's usually a lot faster and more comfortable to fly (excluding your previous experiences).

She doesn't get it. No. More. Flying. If she tries to push it again I may have to throw a muthafukkin snake at her.
