[With the typical excellence of Star Trek time traveling, T'Pol is returned to the ship just after the engines died. On, and she's lost five years; instead of coming from 2161 and the decommissioning of the Enterprise, she's back from 2156, and the heat of the Romulan War. Oh, and she actually wears a Starfleet uniform now. No more silly catsuits. ( Read more... )

Normally Captain Kirk is, but he seems to be on holiday. You've... already been here, actually. You're on a time ship, and none of us had a choice in coming along.

A time ship. [Pause pause pause what.] Are there temporal agents aboard?

I recall you mentioning difficulties with temporal agents. In short, yes there are. No, they're not the same ones. I'm not well acquainted with this Time Agency.

Where...[A long pause. She's trying to keep her voice steady.] Where is this ship?

Not in your universe. Not in mine. It's somewhere else, but can go a little of everywhere. It hasn't felt like home to anywhere, yet, but perhaps I'm not looking hard enough. Entrapment is a bit distracting.

There are no recognizable constellations near by?

No. And my race has a certain proclivity for sensing timelines. I'm a Time Lord. [Because she's probably forgotten]

I regenerate. There are two versions of men that I could become already on board. You've been speaking with one.

[...Yes, that will take some reexplaining, that.]

I don't understand.

If we die, we become someone else and retain our memories. I'm the seventh. The other two are possible later versions, but essentially me. We have the same psychic imprint. And you still have the same psychic imprint that you did before.

I see. [Only kinda. :|] you change, physically?

And mentally, a bit. But the core remains the same.

Nevertheless, if it becomes necessary I will provide to you some memories that I have of you. Until then, I suspect you were a victim of the disappearance of the crew.

That may prove quite useful, thank you.

And the cause of those disappearances is unknown?

No, not as of yet. But there have been others before. Just... not quite so many at once.

I see.

You are an accomplished psychic, I presume?

dominie August 5 2010, 05:44:49 UTC
I've had extensive experience, yes.
