You ever get the feeling that the other shoe's going to drop? That every quiet means a storm's just over the horizon?

We can't have been pulled from a dozen different universes just for nothing. Something's gotta be coming. Guess we'll find out eventually, no matter what happens.

It's been mostly boring here, aside from, you know, the can't get home aspect. I never felt like there was something coming.

Feel it now, though.

Glad to know I'm not the only one, for a change.

... But that might not be a good thing.

Yeah, no kidding.

So what do we do? Polish the guns we don't have? Prepare the escape craft we don't have? Pilot the ship we can't steer to a safe haven? Run away to yet another alternate universe that we can't control? Train the pacifists to fight back?

We're sitting ducks, dead in the air. I don't like this at all. Whatever brought us here, now it's hanging out to dry.

We don't need weapons to fight back. It's not knowing what's coming that makes it hard.

No matter what's coming, I'd feel a hell of a lot better if we could shoot back. I've got Winona, Kirk has his phaser, Thrace has her sidearm, if we're real lucky Pendragon has a sword, and you've got ... your thing.

Our ship can't run. We can't leave the ship. If anything comes to shoot us outta the sky, nothing we can do. If anything tries to board us, we'd stand a kicking chance if even half of us knew how to hold our own.

You can spend time worrying about the shit you don't know, or you can focus on what you do know. It's either that or go crazy staring at the walls.

I know.

Basically, we're screwed if anything comes along and shoots at us. On board, though, we've got a fighting chance. You came in on a ship; does it have defenses?

It's good at flying away, that's about it. We built it as an experimental spacecraft to test out a theory my buddy DK and I had on using a skip off the upper atmosphere to accelerate. No guns, barely even enough room for a passenger.

Onboard it'll have to be.
