It's better to do something, even if you do it terribly, then to not do it at all.
Words to live by right?
But it's of course easier said then done.
This week I'm living/doing, instead of talking/watching.
What does that mean exactly, you say.
Well in the last 2 weeks I've completely cleared, and cleaned my basement (those of you who've been in my basement will know what an enormous undertaking that was).
On Monday I cut/sledged a hole in my basement wall so I could install an egress window. And with some expert advise from Mr. Gosley I've nearly finished it basically on my own (Matty has been instrumental though).
Matty has scrapped and is now painting the walls (with water-tite paint), and on Sunday, hopefully, we will frame the basements, with drywall to immediately follow that.
Why the frantic activity ? Well on Sept. 1st I need to be completely out of my old bedroom. Now I've already moved most of the stuff to Red Wing, but Dawn & I are keeping a room in the 1098 Nation. Of course said room needs to be framed, wired, sheet-rocked, and have it floor painted (forget about the taping & mudding; that will have to happen in the spring).
Crazy huh? I should mention that I take off for The Sons Of Munich party next Thursday night. So I've got one week to get above done.
/me smiles crazily/
Why didn't I spread this out? Didn't I know about this timeline for 6+ months?
Yes, and yes. But I'm theater kid, and we love, no need, deadlines to get the best out of ourselves... apparently :).
The Bus is leaving train station, time to go ashore.
