A Bible and Too Many Emphases

A couple of weeks ago I totally scored at the excellent second-hand book stall at our on-campus Market Day.  Roger Penrose's The Road to Reality: A Complete Guide to the Laws of the Universe (hardcover, excellent condition, marked at only $18 but the cool stallholder - who looks like a white-haired and happy Robinson Crusoe - appreciates a repeat ( Read more... )

Well any excitement is because it's leading up to physics I think, not for the math itself ;-) There've already been cross-references to fermion-boson spin (chapter 23) from the complex number part. Hopefully the next 16 chapters in between will help it make sense eventually :-\
