OK HERE'S SOME RAMBLE FOR YOU. UM YOU PROBABLY DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE GOTTEN YOURSELF INTO. Also I have zero comics knowledge. I am going to rectify that as soon as I (a) return to civilization (b) find money.

"Devil's Spoke" crept up on me at the last minute. It may seem like a totally weird choice (?) but let's just say first of all that it's hard to deny

and this song is totally about the arc reactor and associated ISSUES. Yeah, so I am pretty constantly envisioning Pepper and Tony in my head these days, but they work for this song. TRY IT.

"Liar" was maybe the first one that came to me? Oh Built to Spill. And "Easy" because Tony is easy (duh), and also because it's easy for me and that's the kind of easy that I'm into? Easy: TOTALLY. Workplace romances and friend romances are always to some degree romances of convenience. I actually have a short piece written about Tony and Pepper having an old-school affair, just because it's easier than dating and the sex is good.

Arc reactor: I have "Tin Heart" on my fantasy T/P mix for the same reason. When I started making my fanmix I realized how many songs are about people doing physically improbable things with their hearts (holding them, tearing them out, giving them up, etc) and I decided to go with it.

Civilization? Where are you now, outer space? ARE YOU SPEAKING TO ME FROM A BLEAK POST-APOCALYPTIC FUTURE? If so, what are people wearing?
