Apart from serving to take the viewer completely out of the drama of an otherwise excellent cliffhanger, this digital graffiti is completely redundant as the Beeb then proceeded to shrink the credits and waffle all over Doctor Who's glorious theme tune just to promote the same show again, less than thirty seconds later!
It's an insult to the intelligence of the viewer, who knows damn well what's coming next thanks to listings guides, programme planners, pre-show continuity announcements, trailers, and even a flashy new specially-made ident. I don't pay my licence fee to keep the moronic fuckwit who thought this was in any way a good idea in a job.
Here's a better idea for you, Auntie Beeb: If you want Doctor Who fans to watch Over The Rainbow, don't schedule the fucking thing directly opposite Doctor Who Confidential on BBC Three!!!
