Whats wrong with being a communist? Personally, i don't think it really matters, since government and politics is solely based upon taking power from people and abusing it.
I mean, why the hell would anyone want war, or implements of war, unless they are seriously screwed up in the head?
Oh, right, to defend against war, except the nations with the greatest militaries' in the world (The USA, China, Britain, USSR), have always been quick to be involved in conflicts that don't concern them (at least directly)
Does anyone remember the cold war, and vietnam, and korean war, what about WWII and WWI, or what about the imperialistic settlement of the world by european nations? (lets not even start to get into the recent wars...)
I'm not saying good didn't come from these. Which maybe there was good and maybe their wasn't... But what i am saying, is that the more military might a country has, GENERALLY, the more that country likes to flex that military might.
So, without a government who will protect the people? Or, wait, who will have to protect the people from what?
Well, i guess there wouldn't be much to protect people from... OH RIGHT, corporations. Those big monsters that aren't *technically* countries, but hey, the have the GNP of countries, and sign economic deals like countries, and WAIT, governments even TREAT them like they ARE countries.
Right, and what do corporations do? Oh, they take power from people and abuse it in the name of "making things better for people"
Since when do corporations make thing better for people?
As far as i know, things haven't gotten "better" since the industrial revolution. Actually... i think they have gotten far more complex. And if i remember right, the more complex a society becomes, the higher the dissatisfaction of the general civilian. And the higher the suicide rate. Look at japan for an example.
So, corporations don't exactly make things "better," even though they do *sometimes* make things easier, even alot easier.
So get rid of the governments... no more corporations... and ... all thats left is thugs and organized crime.
What is causing this? Well, to tell the truth here, "crime" tends to happen when people are 1. Raised in shitty families (abusive sexually, physically, mentally, etc.); 2. Oppressed -usually by, hey, governments, religion (ouch), guilds (trusts, corporations, etc.); 3. Acted against with crime.
So that raises another good point here... Religion... generally becomes, yep, oppressive government (look no further than the Middle East [with their jihad] and the Catholic Church [with screwed up oppressed and sexually frustrated priests, and the crusades])
But more back to the subject... TRUE communism tends to errrmmm... well... is SUPPOSE to dissolve after the initial problems are defeated... which are corporations, government greed, crime, shitty family structures, etc., etc.
So that leaves... wow... communism to not be such a bad thing because the intent is to get rid of all these things people see as problems... No more oppression, which lowers crime (although i don't know of a single communist country that has ever come close to achieving this) to a locally manageable scale. No massive control of some over-government or over-corporation source (no more over-lords). Everything is completely local, and self sustaining.
So... my quick analysis of communism is that i would pat you on the back and say "good for you" if you were a communist.
