Shitty week...
Hi all... I was prompted back here to LJ land by a friend referencing one of her older posts... Now I feel the need to write something of my own... What to put though.... How about I Just cut and past an email to show how shitty my week was... I sent the following email to my: lead tech, supervisor, dpt manager, base manager, supervisor on duty at the time and a close friend at work....
The email....
Hey guys...
I don't even know where to start with this. My uncle died late Wednesday night (early Thursday morning). I found out Friday when the funeral and viewing were. The viewing is Sunday afternoon and the funeral Monday morning. I called once on Friday to talk to Tim Parker and got voicemail. Rather than leaving a message I thought I would call back later and talk to him in person. Shortly after that my girlfriend was in a serious car accident. She drove her van through a utility pole. I didn't remember to call back.
I will not be in to work Sunday or Monday. I want to be with my family the next two days and help my girlfriend get back on her feet as much as I can. I hope you can understand.
I already missed last Wednesday with a migrane. I hope you will allow me to use some vacation time for these next two days (or all three). I really can't afford this much time off in one pay period this month.
