NASA.
There are still some huge gaps in the science knowledge of our students. After a lesson I gave to my year 9 students about geostationary satellites, booster rockets and their impact on our current lives, a student mentioned that: "I thought that it was silly to launch stuff into space because it will all eventually fall back down and waste lots of money."
I wonder what we can better do to build upon the curiosity of my science students and stimulate their technical interest?
Tonight I noticed that you can follow the progress of the Mars Phoenix mission with these posts to Twitter. It is a fascinating idea and perhaps might even help engage some of my students. Just a thought.
