I really like my flip video camera as well. I bought mine on ebay from USA and took it with me on our recent Tasmanian trip. So portable, easy to manage and has a very friendly menu. Have you used yours much? The only downside is that we need to update our version of Sony Vegas moviestudio as it does not recongize its mpg format

I am torn between taking a flip video to the states or the Sony digital video camera. I think the optical zoom might win out with the miniDV.

I think what makes these things so awesome is their size/mobility and ease of use. You can flip it out of your pocket in an instant and mash one button and you're recording. I'm diggin my Flip HD Camera
