ABC rules
This is a sandbox or play area built on the ABC island built for SecondLife.
At this location, users can experiment by creating many different objects. These are automatically deleted each day. I was interested in this set of rules posted in the sandbox to help users to regulate their own online behaviour.
I also saw on this island, a news or media dome. This is a fascinating bit of interactive technology where current new reports are flashed up inside a dome. Clicking on each news report fired up a link to a web page in my web browser. Users can sit back on the soft seats inside, lean back and glance at the panorama of events displayed on the ceiling.
I think that it is fantastic to see the ABC experimenting with this technology.
