Double Arch Here is a picture of a double rainbow arch that I took on a wet spring afternoon in 2004. Note the bright inner arch and faint outer arch. If you look carefully, you will notice that the colours in each arch run in the opposite order, violet on the outside and red on the inside then red on the outside and violet on the inside.
This panorama was constructed from 3 images taken facing West from the carpark. Not my best rainbow image or panorama example but the only one I have taken so far of a double rainbow.
I might get my GLOBE students to keep their eyes open and skywards.
