Saddle up some ingredients

Oblivion - saddle up some ingredients
I have been playing the computer game "Oblivion - The Elder Scrolls IV". The game brought the best out of my graphics card and sound system. This was my first attempt to capture the screen. I was later able to increase the resolution further but spot the current shadows and detail in the horses eyes.

The game has some spectacular atmospherics and random weather. A mod that I added later increased these by an order of magnitude from a sleepy fog to savage storms. It also has an interesting ingame economy and even includes beggars that sleep around the city. One charitable day, I went about leaving food in all the foodsacks that the beggars keep near their beds. It seemed like the right thing to do at the time.

I was surprised to see the level of detail in the texture used for the boots and clothing. It looks really great although I would hate to go running about the real countryside wearing those straps and all that medieval armour, unless of course I was being chased by a gang of angry bandits. I recall meeting one game character who was taking her pet wolves out for a walk in the city. I looked impressive so I later I ran a mod that let me add my own companion mountain lion that ended up following me about everywhere with a hungry look in his eyes.

I added a saddlebag mod that allowed me to add items to my horse. The horse would follow me about outside and inside the Imperial City, this was handy as I was able to offload and sell some rare ingredients that I had collected whilst picking flowers in the countryside.

All in a hard days work.
