Fairly certain he was in the Underworld, though not the Hel he knew, but some alternate version. Perhaps one that existed of the same universe, but another realm. He is both curious and frustrated that he has found somewhere beyond his vision - excited at the prospect of something new to explore, but irritated that there was something he could not see. He senses the forces of magic and perhaps of other gods removed from him and yet familiar. It is a small world, after all, in the greater scheme of things.

He departs the boat and watches the ferrymen fade into the distance, undoubtedly prepared to keep quite busy. He recognizes his lore but cannot place his name. It is a foreign faith that regards him, and yet he can see it. It has placement somewhere in his mind, though he will not recall it yet. The cold touch of his skeletal embrace has chilled him. In his mind he is not dead but a visitor whisked off into another's underworld. Because in his mind he cannot die, but merely slumber. This is but an extension of the Odin Sleep, or so he discerns.

He travels the dock lightly, observing from the guise of an old man in a gray cloak, a long draping gray hat hiding all features but a braided, well-groomed beard to contrast his appearance. He finds he sorely misses his avian friends, Huginn and Muninn. Their companionship seems suited here, and is all the more missed for their absence.

He wanders his way into a market, larger than any he has ever seen, though lacking the cleanliness and glory of that in Asgard. Odin finds himself eying a spear in a blacksmith's booth, and is somewhat unaware of his movement to touch the rod, weathered fingers stroking it softly. It is beautiful, the craftsmanship almost magical. Though it is hardly a replacement for the Gungnir. His breath exclaims softly at the cold touch of war metal. He is lost in his absorbent mind, appearing oblivious to all surroundings.
