it's been the most insane week
and just to show you how crazy it really has been, i'm going to share the highlights of yesterday afternoon. bear in mind, this is JUST yesterday afternoon / night.
4:57 -- after feeling something pulling on me (only God knows what that was, probably stupidity) i go to pick up an application for summer editor-in-chief of the Plainsman.
4:59 -- i feel somewhat nauseous.
5:09 -- i call patrick and talk to him for 30 minutes about it, thereby ensuring that the last week or so of this calling plan cycle, i'll have to have my phone turned off before 9 p.m. so that i don't rack up huge overage charges and parental anger.
8:00 -- i go to the women's basketball game against bama, where i rediscover what a great friend i have in garon. i haven't seen him at all this week, and that's so strange when you consider that i'm used to seeing him every day. i also have a fun time with jess davis, julie, and megalot. we win, quadrupling the fun count.
10:17 -- we are hanging out in my dorm room when my best friend that goes to huntingdon, joseph, IMs and says he doesn't have anyone to talk to and he's feeling lonely. on a whim, i invite him to auburn for the night, to stay at garon's. he accepts, causing major excitement and fervor on my part. i am so excited, and i just can't hide it. terrible joke. i know. anyhow, so joseph is coming.
11:15 -- joseph arrives in auburn, stopping at the waffle house for us to pick him up.
11:16 -- garon and i kidnap laura bradley, taking her away from mitch (her estimable date) and forcing her into the car, even though "she has pj's on and she is indecent." we yell at her, especially when mitch calls to whine about her leaving. we literally do kidnap her, by the way. garon and i are carrying her out out the door over her shouts of disapproval. it is hilarious.
11:20 -- we pick up joseph, and there is much love. we go to garon's to stay the night.
2:30 a.m. -- it is sleep time. we sleep a few hours and then get up at 7:00 for me to lead him back to the interstate and then to come back to the dorm and shower for class.
