In Greek Myth, Echo was a nymph of the mountain who loved her voice. It was beautiful. She put it to good use, too. She distracted Hera via flattery while Zeus courted various other women. When Hera found out, however, and she cursed the girl by only allowing her to speak the last words of the last person who spoke. Kicked out of mount olympus, she met and fell in love with a young, beautiful hunter boy named Narcissus who was very full of himself. She followed him everywhere, always out of sight. One day Narcissus got lost, and called out for a person. "Is anyone here?" He asked. "Here, here." Echo replied. She stepped out of the shadows and through hand gestures, confessed her feelings to Narcissus, to which he refused. Her heart was broken and eventually she pined away until all that was left was her voice. This saddened Aphrodite, so she made Echo's voice the voice you hear when you shout outside, and made Narcissus actually fall in love with himself. He committed suicide because he could not truly be with himself.

Eos, the Goddess of Dawn, holds the sun up everyday with her rose fingers, which opened the gates of heaven, allowing her brother, Helios, to ride his chariot across the sky. A beautiful thing, her robe is adorned with flower petals, and on her head a incandescent tiara framed with large white wings. She gave birth to the winds and the stars.
