I love all the hats! I wish I could learn to knit or crochet.

you should! I think knitting is prettier in a lot of cases, but I find it slower, harder, and tougher to learn so I recommend crochet to everyone :P

how did you learn to crochet?

My mom taught me the basic, and the rest I learned off the internet. They have lots of youtube videos and stuff now so that you can actually see someone do it rather than written instructions or diagrams, so thats how I learn new stitches now.

no one in my family knows how to do anything crafty (maybe my grandmother, but she is almost deaf so talking to her about specific things is very difficult, also she lives far away) but maybe I will look up some videos and things on the internet!
