Someone was talking about updating their journal tonight and that made me realize that the last time I actually cared enough to say anything was right after the election. Golly, ain't life grand? I think I'm having the same problem as Kyle, as not much in my life is actually worth mentioning lately. I've been doing some things, just nothing that makes for a very compelling journal entry. But then I got to thinking. When the hell have I ever worried about writing very compelling journal entries? I don't and that's because I rock.

So, mostly my life as of late has consisted of one thing and one thing alone. That things happens to be the wonder that is Halo 2. I purchased the game the day it came out (while avoiding the lines at midnight. Having a mom that works in retail is pretty rad. Having a mom that will go into the store before it opens to get you things is even radder.) and I played the single player campaign for a few hours. Then I noticed the free Xbox Live trial that came with the game. Once I realized that all I really needed to hook up Xbox Live was a Cat5 cable and not a complicated kit, I was online and getting the shit kicked out of me by people all over the world. With time, I got a little better and then I started making my friends play the game with me. Stank actually caved in and got his own Xbox Live account so that we could play ranked games together and neither of us have looked back since.

Almost every weekend has consisted of constant Halo playing, either on Live or with whatever people we can find. Jason Keef recently got himself his own Xbox and my wonderful amazing girlfriend, Andrew Rusin, finally came home to get his.(It is worth mentioning that even though Andrew sucks at life, seeing him for just a few seconds totally made my week.) Stank caved in for a second time and bought himself a copy of the game so that he can play without me. He gave his free trial to Ian/Justin (who have also gotten really good at the game) and they made a joint account. Together we have a pretty bitchin' clan and things seem to be getting better and better. I would rant more and more about the game, but if you haven't played it you don't care, and if you have, you probably have some idea of what I'm talking about.

So far, the word on the street says that there will be a LAN party at the Keef residence over Christmas break. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but there's a rumor floating around that one JOSH KEEF might be making an appearance. Stay tuned!

Ugh. Other than Halo, not a lot has been going on. School is almost over for a few weeks and I could not be happier. I had to go to the DIA for an art history project, and I ended up going with my mom. I can't pretend that I cared about art much, nor can I say that the DIA was a life altering experience, but there was some pretty cool shit there. If you've ever been, odds are you've seen The Nut Gatherers, which I think is one of their most popular works. It sells more postcards that anything else, so I guess that's something. (Here's a picture if you're curious). Anyway, this painting absolutely owns and I have been in love with it ever since. If you are looking at the aforementioned picture, you are missing out because there's nothing quite like looking at it in real life. I'm going to drag my little Jewish friend with me sometime within the next few weeks so that I can stare at it for hours.

This picture was worth noting because it has inspired me to do things. This month was NaNoWriMo but I gave up on that after about thirty seconds because I had no real idea for a story. But, the painting has given me ideas and I fully intend on running with them. Kyle and I were both going to attempt to play the NaNoWriMo game in January (he dubbed it Project January and I thought that was really cute) but now he says he's got an idea which is even better. Kyle is full of crazy things like ideas.

I got some new shoes in the mail. I intended to take a picture of me in said kicks but I am just too lazy. They are Celtic Green and neat. I also bought some other neat things like Season 1 of Arrested Development, which I plan on whoring out to all my friends that have yet to watch the show. Justin and I watched a little more than half the season in one sitting. It makes me giggle like whoa. Also, Justin found America: The Book for 50% off and I naturally had to buy this. Same Daily Show humor which is a very good thing.

I think I intended to say more but when your life consists of Halo, work, and school, you run out of excitement. I'm never going to fall asleep and I have to get up for work in 6 hours. Exhaustion, here I come.
