OK...I think it's time to start getting out of the house more now. Judge Judy is actually starting to sound reasonable at times. Really, is it necessary for that woman to be so god-damn snide and like she's the savior of the universe on freakin every show?

Why yes I don't do well with forced inactivity, why do you ask?
Actually, I did get out for a bit yesterday. A close friend of mine is expecting a baby in July, so I made a trip to the local craft store with my mom to purcase some yarn and a pattern for a baby afghan in preparation for the happy event. Course I'm stuck on a stitch already.
Afterwards, my mother insisted on taking me out for a bite to eat. It was so sweet of her, but mid-way through the meal the restaurant turned on their background music system. The combination of chatting diners all around me and the music coming from all angles literally made my head spin with disorientation and I had to leave. All and all I count the outing as a success though.
I've spent countless hours, but finally have the disability payments in order and received my first one (Hallelujah, thank you God). The final numbers on the medical expenses are still pending. They're visible on-line via my providers web site, but not finalized as of yet.
Just looking at them makes me nuts worrying about the expenses: two CAT scans, an MRI, numerous X-Rays and ultrasounds, three spinal taps, the Infectious Disease Specialists, I could go on and on… so I've decided not to look again until it's finalized.
On a happier note, I can finally listen to a little bit of music at home. The rest of the house needs to be fairly quiet (IE: the kids at school or bound and gagged) and the volume low, but I CAN LISTEN! It's so wonderful (and quite a relief too) to see the progression. I've still got 2 weeks left before I return to work, so hopefully the dizziness will be completely gone by then.
I read the most touching fic today. After being so ill, you really do re-think some things and become especially appreciative of those who care about you and offer support, and this was so appropriate. It's by
