4AM fire alarms... Welcome to 1 North!
So I decided to take the position on 1 North, Greer's position, all by myself... my own full time position. I moved downstairs here on Thursday, into the biggest double in Cedar. It's huge. It also took hours to arrange the room. Friday mum came and brought me a futon. It looks much nicer in here than my big chair, which mum took back home. The futon is awesome, and I love the way the room is set up now. I just have to hang up my posters and string some lights on my open rafters...
So, 1 North. They're cute kids. Saturday night at 4AM I have one room banging on my door, they were just playing video games in their room when it filled with smoke. Someone had sprayed the fire extinguisher in the laundry room; all over the laundry room, in the washers, dryers, everywhere. The hall was filled with the smoke. So I told them to call Public Safety and go to bed. 5 minutes later I got up to open a window and the fire alarm went off. 116 was not happy "you didn't say this was going to happen!" So 45min later, and 2 hours until my alumni race, we were allowed back and everyone was awake and interested in talking about the alarm. Oh, what a night...
The race Saturday went well though. I PRed, woo! I also think I got a cold from it. Nice and cold and rainy... Stupid hurricane.
So the X-Files is on TV. I miss this show. And TV. I like having TV again. It's still broken. I should look into bringing it to a repair place... I don't like having to move the cable around every so often. Ugh.
