I've never done the LARP thing (Whether it be the common usage of the acronym or the absurd one used in the clip I posted.) I am a fan of the pen, paper, and dice variety though.

I have not. Although an old buddy of mine does have a Talisman set. We just haven't pulled it out since I started gaming with him, as we tend to gravitate towards Settlers of Cattan and Munchkin when we aren't doing RPG.

I've never succeeded in RPGing... as I told Brodie when he asked me about it, "I've played 3 times, and I think the longest was 20 mins." Talisman was what we used to play on Saturdays in the back of my house in Queens - all six of us (housemates) plus guests, tricks, etc. Getting picked up by one of us in a bar was getting geeked after breakfast :-)

I hear Settlers is fun, but never tried.
