Dear MM Rares creator,
Thank you so much for writing for me! If you offered these fandoms, I already think you're amazing! If you need me on AO3, I'm The_Plaid_Slytherin.
General Stuff
Some general likes: fluff, romance, plot, PWP, domesticity, hurt/comfort, loyalty, friendship, family/found family, kid/family fic, canon-divergence/fork-in-the-road AUs, happy endings, characters taking care of/depending on each other, established relationships, getting together, unexpected relationships, quiet moments, casefic, seasonal/holiday themes, wooing/courtship, couples who work/do plot together, daemons.
When it comes to smut, my preferences are pretty vanilla. My kinks are more about circumstances than about acts: first times (including first time doing X-I love the newness and the trust in their partner), reunion sex, comfort sex, make-up sex, cuddling, tenderness/touching/kissing (especially hands!), teasing, sharing fantasies.
My DNWs: darkfic, graphic violence, character death, rape/non-con/dub-con, incest, underage sex, AUs that are another setting (e.g., modern times), crossovers, d/s, scat/watersports, and sad/hopeless endings.
Nero Wolfe - Rex Stout
Archie Goodwin/Saul Panzer
I love couples who work together and seeing how they order their lives around their work. I utterly adore Archie and his voice, but I'm also curious to get to know more about Saul. What's his backstory and personal life like? I see hidden depths in there! Maybe Archie does, too? How did he end up working for Wolfe and why does he stick around, when according to Archie, he could be doing much better? I would love anything exploring midcentury New York, be it mystery, adventure, or just some downtime. I also like the rest of the cast so anyone you want to have appear would be welcome!
Prompts:
- First case they worked together. I love competence, but I also like total disasters that end in kissing.
- Saul helps Archie out of a jam
- Saul needs help. He doesn't ask for it, but Archie figures it out.
- Making a date. Do they get interrupted? Run into a case? Does someone else interfere?
A Song of Ice and Fire - George R. R. Martin
One thing I will note for this fandom is that I have only read the books, so please no show events/characterization/whatever.
I love these books so much. I love the worldbuilding, I love the characters. Even when they're frustrating, I love them. The world is so rich and there's so much to explore, especially pre-canon, though I'm also totally into during-canon and post-canon. And I don't think I have a fandom that's better suited for canon-divergence AUs since there are so many points where things could have gone another way. I love Baratheons, Tyrells, and Starks best, but anyone you want to have show up is fine.
Stannis Baratheon/Davos Seaworth
I just can't get enough of these two. So much loyalty kink. I especially love when it goes both ways, with Stannis being loyal to Davos, especially in the face of all those snobby lords of the Narrow Sea who don't get why the smuggler is Stannis' fave. The devotion, the support... I really love unlikely pairs and I think these two count - nobody really appreciates Davos like Stannis does and nobody really knows Stannis like Davos does. I would love to see something where that appreciation is on display.
Prompts:
- something (dangerous?) happens to make Stannis realize what Davos means to him and he decides to do something about it
- a reunion anywhere on an imagined future timeline - getting to be together when spring comes at last?
- something about their early relationship and how that devotion developed. How does Stannis come to terms with having feelings for Davos? How does Davos' routine job (and what exactly is his routine job, before canon?) get established?
- something set during all those years in King's Landing when Stannis was Master of Ships. What was their day-to-day life like? (Including Robert and/or Renly in some capacity would be stellar.)
- absolutely any canon-divergence AU that drops these two into different circumstances and makes them deal (different outcomes to canon battles, dead character lives, Stannis doesn't trust Melisandre)
I requested this pairing for Smut Swap, so
here is a link to my letter, if you would find that helpful, for more kinks/prompts. (If you want to take a Smut Swap prompt and make it non-smutty, that is cool, too.)
Salladhor Saan/Davos Seaworth
I am really curious about this history for these two. I enjoy their interactions in canon and I think Salla is so much fun. I enjoy the contrast between them, with Salla's more flamboyant style, contrasted Davos' inveterate ordinariness. I would love to know more about them, what drew them together as friends, and how they work in a shippy/sexual context.
Prompts:
- Adventures in piracy/smuggling! When they're just starting out and failing spectacularly, or when they're very good at what they do. Helping each other out of jams, getting stranded, all the tropes.
- Salla decides he's going to sweep the clueless younger Davos off his feet. What does Davos have to say about that?
- Salla's reaction to Davos' decision to smuggle onions into Storm's End and its aftermath. What does he think of Stannis?

Stannis Baratheon/Ned Stark
I'm completely fascinated by this pairing since they seem so similar-they should get along great! But they don't seem to have. Why was that? Was it just because Stannis resented Robert liking Ned more? (And why would he, anyway-is Ned really more fun than boring old Stannis?) I love their (even misguided) commitment to fairness, justice, and doing the right thing. I would just love to see how they would work together, especially with all that has the potential to come between them.
Prompts:
- When did they first meet? Was it when Ned lifted the siege at Storm's End, or sometime before the war? What were their first impressions of each other?
- Robert: I like him and he's a big factor in this ship. How does Ned feel about the way Robert treats Stannis? How does Stannis feel about Ned's friendship with Robert? How does Robert feel about these two hitting it off (or being in a relationship, if he finds out)?
- What if Ned had met Stannis first, before/instead of Robert? Maybe they were fostered together instead of Ned and Robert?
- Or something even wilder? Change the outcome or circumstances of the Rebellion? (Maybe Ned, at some early point, gets to enlist Stannis' help locating Lyanna. Or what would have happened if Robert died at the Trident?) Robert makes Ned stay and be on the small council rather than going back to Winterfell?
Agent Carter (TV)
Jack Thompson/Original Male Character
I saw this in the tag set and I had to request it! I would love to see what kind of OMC you come up with to pair Jack with. I can definitely see him with some insecurities (especially if he found himself attracted to a man) and it would be interesting to see how he works through them to achieve happiness with your OC. I love all of the other characters, so whoever you'd like to have show up would be great. If you want to include background pairings, I ship Peggy/Sousa or Peggy/Angie. I like period New York and Los Angeles so anywhere you want to play is great.
Prompts:
- Jack meets someone outside of work who he can't talk to about work. Either at a place like a bar, or while doing a hobby. How does he get to know this man and can he ever come clean about what he does?
- Jack has to hang around in Los Angeles while recovering from his wounds and meets someone.
- Or maybe a workplace romance is the way to go? Invent another agent for him and have them deal with falling in love on the job.
Deadwood
Jack Langrishe/Al Swearengen
I love how Al keeps trying resolutely not to care about the welfare of the other citizens of Deadwood, but he can't help but be worn down. His practical, reluctant leadership combined with Jack's exuberance is a favorite character-type pairing of mine. I just wish we'd gotten to see more of their interactions before the show was canceled - there are so many open ends about the future of the town and the theater. I want a million more seasons but fic is good, too.
Prompts:
- Al's statement that he doesn't go to plays and Al at the end of 'Amateur Night.' How would Jack react to those?
- BACKSTORY. Virginia City! How did they meet? How did they develop their respective careers and how did they work in a relationship alongside there?
- Anything post-canon. What happens next for the citizens of Deadwood and how do Al and Jack react to it?
