(no subject)
We had a lovely day yesterday! I made fried egg sandwiches for breakfast, which everyone loved. Mo took us driving to Ocean Beach, stopped at a bakery along the way...M got a huge choc cake...gooey and very sweet and I had some mushroom pizza(after saying that I wouldn't have pizza for 6 months) and Mo had focaccia, it was a perfect snack! Then we checked out the new Cliff House...gorgeous, with an amazing view, and we walked along the beach. It was one of those blue sky SF days. We stopped for a sushi snack at Yummy Sushi in the sunset...lives up to it's name. They had a California Roll with real dungenous crab, and their uni was superb.
So with all this goodness...we proceeded to dinner.
We met up with K and L(the exes) and R (L's new GF)(so Lesbian) at Circolo in the Media Gulch, on Florida near 18th. The space was beautiful and huge and they had sparkle pillows on the banquettes in the lounge. M had a Mango Mojito and I had a Lychee capirinha
Then we were seated upstairs in a cozy booth with satiny fabric seats and walls. We shared arepas with queso feaso and a salsa with corn. I got a fab tuna tartare with yuca chips, K got guava glazed ribs..M saus they were very delicious. L got a fancy romaine salad, which came with eel that she doesn't eat, so R & I got to have it and it was a tasty tidbit!
M got panko chicken which she loved..moist and delish I had the butternut squash ravioli..I could have just had that and been happy. We also got to try the garlic noodles, veggie stir fry, and empanadas de carne(M said the empanadas were too sweet)However the choc gelato and cherry sorbet were just perfect!
Yay Circolo! Yay friends! We laughed, and munched and laughed and caught up on gossip.
