It’s an aimless day. Axel’s feet have taken him all over the city. Prank’s bounding through the grass beside him stalking and catching bugs. It’s overcast but not dreary, the beeze is nice.
He’s been handling Bart and the boy swinging from anger to sadness as best as he can but he needs a break. The boy’s at home, worn out, relaxed by another long bath. The dogs take great care of him. It’s hard to hold onto sorrow with Dox’s happy yips and Saileri’s warm weight.
He’s near papa’s but isn’t in the mood to talk about the ‘flood’ downtown or to explain why he’s back in his old colors and costume. Of course right now he isn’t in costume, right now he’s not even technically in his own clothes. The pants are his, even his plaid but the flash hoodie is definitely Bart’s.
