Well, it's been one hell of an awesome weekend. I can't remember a better one. Sunday, I kidnapped my Dad with Amy in tow. Her first meeting with my family. She talked cars with my Dad the whole way to his birthday present... We met Joshua and his wife Larissa at the theater to see Star Wars III. We all loved it, although Amy saw it a couple ( Read more... )

Eep... sorry for Jamie, as is it was a little awkward for me as hearing someone coming down the stairs when ones shirt is in the other room was a little interesting. eep.

had a blast this weekend, it rokked. sorry i missed such a great ride, youll have to take me on the same ride sometime when there arent people to keep up with.. hehe.

Shan is right about the wait on the 90-day policy, most policies work that way so that way people dont just get money and run. as for the overtime, if you say you want the overtime, its yours and you can nab others if they dont want it. if your name is on there for the weekend, its yours. the only time people nab it, is if you tell them too.

the application is in my car, but like i said *and shan too* its entirelly upto you. though i have my doubts if theyll raise base pay. but its worth a shot. were always trying to figure out why most people dont consider us for employment or stick for long term (besides blade issues) so if you throw in your forklife exp.. it may help. though im sure youll have to go through some Corning training class or something.
eenyway.. have a good day or sleep or wahtever your gonna do after reading this.
sleep well munky boy ;)

PS: is that a picture of Riann in there? i dont think Summer was scowling at the camera... let alone wearing a coat.

I'm thinking seriously about it. If I could get them to nudge it up to ten, I could make up for the loss by working late, or picking up a weekend here and there. I've worked in a factory before, so I have experience with the ISO 9001 paperwork and the fork lift maneuvers. The only drawbacks is that I'd lose my benefits for 3 months, and COBRA is expensive if I need it, and the long ass ride to Kenebunk. South Portland is bad enough. However, it may be worth it. I'll give it a go, and see what they offer. If worse comes to worst, I wouldn't have burnt any bridges at Target, and can go back without any trouble... at least I would hope not after 3 years of devout servitude.

The photo is of my girlfriend, last year, Riann. She wasn't happy at all when I had to leave her side for a moment. Half my family loved her, the other half didn't like her... those including my parents. Anyway, it was a wonderful change of pace, this year. :)
