Things I mean to portray in my novel:
-It has become part of human nature to interpret religious texts in favor of your agenda, and it's easy to do so.
-If you can get some time on TV, you will have followers.
-Many Christians are obsessed with martyrdom, though they don't realize it. If they can suffer just a little for their faith, they know that they're doing it right.
-Faith is not a necessary component to a good person. (Please don't fight me on the definition of "good" - come on, you know what I mean)
-The faithful are not always good people.
