I've become a lot more strict with myself since I gave up stimulants. I can, but don't like to, function on six hours of sleep. I prefer 7-9. I usually go to sleep between 12 and 1 on nights before work. I try to stay up later on the weekends, but I don't always make it as far as I did in my younger years. I get up as early as I can force myself out of bed and still make it to Clarksburg at a decent hour. On weekends, I get up between 10 and 1 depending on what my body needs and what I did the night before. Sometimes, my internal clock thinks I need to be up at 9:30 on a Saturday, and I can't hit the snooze button. I don't nap as often as I did during college and when I first started working in oil and gas. This is, of course, the extreme opposite of when I worked night shift, went to work from 11-7, got to sleep between around 9, woke up between 4-6, and if I was feeling good and terrible, catching a quick nap before running out the door at 10:30. I'm glad I don't have to do that anymore.

I started organizing photo shoot wardrobe last night, and I'm not really sure why I hadn't done this sooner. I have a tote for all of my hats/hair pieces, instead of bunches of little boxes sitting in the top of my closet, a tote for my tights/pantyhose, so I don't have to scramble to find a pair, a tote for my corsets and a tote for my jewelry. I have a jewelry box, but it doesn't quite fit all that I have. I also put clothes I plan to use or have used in a special section of the closet, since I have much more coming in the next few weeks.
Since I have potentially six (five have been confirmed) photo shoots in the next month, I have been expanding my wardrobe to accommodate that. I got three hats and an awesome dress in the mail already.
I have an order from Lip Service (waist cincher, leggings, top) set to arrive, a set of pasties, a neck piece, a necklace, a bolero and two more dresses on the way. It's a good thing I'm organizing now instead of later. Too bad I can't write off wardrobe on my taxes. Haha!
There is another important reason why I am attempting to organize, and that is that TJ and I agree that our house doesn't really feel like a home to us. There are so many things unfinished so not adequate space to put everything away in an orderly fashion. We also are lacking some privacy that should have been priority when the house was remodeled in the first place. We just now got a curtain for the large door/window in the kitchen and we still don't have doors on any of the bedrooms, just the bathroom. Do you know how hard it is to enjoy yourself in your own bedroom when you're using a curtain for privacy and you have an active eight-year-old? I don't think I need to elaborate on that too much, but it is difficult! We also need more cabinet space in the kitchen, to finish the closet in the computer room and to put in a bookshelf large enough to hold my quite mammoth collection of books. Luckily, our dryer has been fixed, and it wasn't difficult, just a wayward sock finding its way into the lint trap. But our washing machine is a pain in the ass and will probably need replaced soon.
So, I'm organizing, and we're getting things done as quickly as we can. TJ bought the last set of windows that were needing to be replaced yesterday. I guess we can only go as fast as the person helping us. For a long time, it was important to us to have just enough done to move in, but since we've been there for almost nine months now, our mission is to not hate it there so much. We've been so bored, and there is still a level nosiness that comes from having his family so close. I try to shut myself off from it, but it is difficult when someone is always trying to learn your business.
