I actually have things to write about? Hmmm....
The Birth of a Princess.
We have been adopted by a kitty. She had been living under our porch for about three weeks. She looks so much like my in-laws' cat, Miss Kitty, that I thought, until closer inspection, that she was her and hadn't been feeding her. Now, that we know she is, in fact, a different cat, we're feeding her, and I've named her Princess Galaga. We can tell that she used to be a house cat. It is likely she was dropped by someone.
She is very sweet and loves people a great deal. She doesn't like to be touched on one spot on her side, which is likely injured. She doesn't like Mikey, but Mikey likes her.
Puppy's Day Out.
Mikey was grounded for a day and a half (not allowed out without a leash) because he and my in-laws' dog took off. I ended up getting a call Sunday evening from a lady down the road saying that they were there and to hurry because they were in a dangerous area. I had been napping that afternoon, and was unaware that they had gone missing until not long before I received the call. TJ and his dad had been looking for them for a good while.
I'm not happy with him for this stunt. This is the third time I've had to rescue him from wandering off too far. We let him out off-leash for the first time this morning, and he was perfectly well behaved. We shall see.
On Vacations and Modeling.
It looks like we won't be going to Florida after all, since the in-laws will be in California that week. We are planning to take a vacation some time in April. I'm not sure where yet, but we've talked about possibly splitting a week between Pittsburgh and DC.
I will have several photoshoots this spring. You will see more modeling from me this year than you ever have before. I have confirmed a few as definite. I have a couple more that depend on me. Pittsburgh has the most photographers interested in my right now. I am planning on taking several weekends to stay up there this spring and summer and book them all.
The shoot that I've already to begun to discuss content of is going to be like nothing I've done before and will include special effects and other things that I have to make a special trip up there several weeks before the shoot to help prepare for.
This excites me. This may be a profitable year, as far as that's concerned. What's more important to me, though, is that I love doing it.
Weight loss
I still have quite a ways to go in recovering from the change of lifestyle weight-gain. This year, I've only lost 2 lbs, but I've lost 1.25 inches from my waist, .5 inches from my hips, 2.5 inches from my midsection and two pant sizes.
I hope to see more progress in the weeks to come, seeing as how I have so much modeling lined up. I've been alternating between Wii Fit and pilates four days a week. I've been on pilates moreso since I get quicker results. My work requires me to lift heavy record books, and I am up and down stairs all day long. My ass...is pretty fantastic right now. We'll see what happens.
Other tidbits.
-- I really cannot believe that our one-year wedding anniversary is next week.
-- Today marks six months since my last cigarette. I took a hit from a tobacco pipe last week, and I did not wake up the next morning smoking a pack a day like other people tried to lead me to believe. I'm glad to be smoke-free for half a year.
