Ha ha. I'm not updating these days, cos I don't feel like doing anything other than staying in bed. I'm in the middle of changing meds, so it's a hard period right now.
I'm sorry to hear that things are so trying right now. I hope your transition starts to change for thr better soon!
I'm doing alright. Things are moving in a positive direction, but I still struggle with the anxiety and depression from time to time. I've noticed a connection between extreme anxiety and PMS; so, I'm starting to feel OK a couple weeks out of the month, given that I'm not sick or anything.
Girl I feel so old right now I creak. On my shitty way towards my 40's I don't recognize any of your bands except for The Cure. I hate the fact I'm this old but I don't feel this way, I'm not into anything that the majority of my age group is into. That's alright, I never want to be the status Quo

Most of the bands I listed are more than 20 years old, some of them more than 30. I think there are only a couple bands on there that are "young," so to speak. It is just that none of it has ever, except for maybe the Cure and Oingo Boingo, been "mainstream." It's mostly old post-punk, goth rock and deathrock.
I have been so tempted to call these people at 3 a.m. when they have to work the next morning just to shoot the shit or pump my child full of caffeine and sugar on a Friday night and leave him with my in-laws. I've gotten to the point where I'll only answer it if it's the school, since my husband has to commute 45 minutes to work, but even that is tricky because my sister-in-law is a teacher as his school. She actually called me up at noon and asked me to watch her kid for the afternoon. My mother-in-law once suggested that I not send my son to my mom's for a day he had off from school and stay up until they got home from work at 4:30. FUCK THAT. That's the equivalent of waking up my son at 1 a.m. and telling her that

Hmn, I guess it's me and my tastes in music. I think that living in the small towns of the Maritimes we didn't get much of the mainstream and I'll have to admit to listen to a lot of stoner music. I mean I'm still shocked I even graduated. I spent from 9th to 12th grade really, really stoned. Lately I'm slowly expanding my brain and my musical tastes. I'm so not into when family acts like that and where you're moving into your new place I'd seriously squash it and set them all up with some serious limits life's too short for their bullshit. I bet the mother in law's very passive aggressive too and really good at laying on the guilt. I've been there, Amanda my SO is constantly getting grief that she's with me and not some big money family, university graduate. She's always got a snarky fake sweet comment to say even if i'm not around.
