0416 -- V-Day.
Valentine's Day didn't go quite the way we'd planned. Trenton had a subconjunctival hemorrhage and was taken to the ER. We were there for 3.5 hours. Trenton's fine, though. His eye will be bloody looking for the next couple of weeks, and he says it feels better today. He was injured in gym class when another kid ran into his (Trenton's) eye with his head. I'm glad he's OK, and hey! He made it four years without a major injury (the last being when he cut his head open)!
I did get to talk to Leila on Skype last night. We ended up talking for nearly two hours, and I woke up this morning feeling a new sense of appreciation for her and how well she listens to me. I read her a bunch of old things I'd written so that she might get to know how my psyche works when pushed to its limit. She seemed to understand. I also showed her her Valentine's Day gift, which I will give to her a week from tomorrow when she comes to visit for five days. I've been looking forward to that so much.
Valentine's Day used to have a negative trigger for me, due to a traumatic event occurring eight years ago. I'm glad that I no longer feel that pain. This year is the first Valentine's Day in 8 years I've had two Valentines to share it with.
TJ and I have been together for 9 years and 5 months. We've been married for 1 year and 11.5 months. I can't believe that our 2-year anniversary is on the 4th. I'm happy to be lucky enough to have such an excellent lover and friend.

Darcy's birthday is sometime this month, but we don't know when. We decided a while ago that it's today. So, happy birthday, my little puppy!
