I'll give Southern states this: spring (when they remember to have it in between the slush and the blistering heat) is outright spiritual. Every single yellowbright, surging leaf can be felt on days like this. Trees blossom as if they were individual flowers unto themselves. It's amazing.
That said, I spent most of today so far inside the school, then watching The Jacket (good movie, I recommend it). Finished Ecotopia, it was awesome, although he gave away the ending and then dragged it out, but big deal it's not good as a novel, its good as a manifesto. Gonna read the prequel now, and hopefully by then Tim will be done with On the Road so I can get on it (as it were). Getting near finished with a fun little diorama piece about the Abu Graib tortures as a modern crucifixtion/martyrdom. Had fun getting the materials for it too- several hours high in a scrap heap in the woods behind my house getting cut up by barbed wire and car parts with I try and cut the latter. The rest of the weekend was about as good.
Not too much happening in the present- making a little money (feel filthy about it), showing up at school more or less, etc. etc. Next week Tim and I go to Mass. though. That's gonna kick ass. Tim- was gonna email you this, but it's easier to just type it now so I don't have to remember- Mary the Snow Farm Lady says that they can almost definitely put us up. I'm just waiting for a confo email from the caretaker during the spring. You're gonna love this place.
I'm so fucking lucky! I get to see the spring down here, and will be seeing a second one in New England! AAAaaHhAHahaHAHahaHAhhAhahaAAAahhaaaa!!
