This is the community where we PH authors post our stories and interact with each other and the readers. After having been plagiarized numerous times in the past, we all decided it was time to leave Fictionpress and set up a new place where we could feel safer and grow as authors.

THE COMMUNITY RULES
1. No copying and pasting our stories outside the community. Absolutely no posting on FP, FFN, Facebook, Quizilla, Myspace, Wattpad, Scribd, online forums, personal livejournals and blogs, etc. No distribution of our stories via email, IMs, etc.
2. This relates to the first rule. Please do NOT copy our stories into Word documents and pdf files and such for your personal use. Our stories are right here in the LJ community for you to READ, not to save and distribute. A person just might hack into your computer, and then where would we be? If we find out you've done this, you will immediately be removed, without any hopes of a second chance.
3. No over-sharing about our stories outside the community. This means no detailed recaps and summaries and excerpts of our work. Now, we're all okay if the person writes in her blog: "Wow! I just read this amazing story by Myrika, SamanthaNicole, and angelsandeffects." But more details than that? Nope.
4. No sharing your LJ account with your very, very special best friend, so she can log in and read our stories. Our permission is for you and you alone. If your friend wants to read our stories, tell her to get a LJ and request our permission. It's that simple.
5. Our work is not for your monetary profit. You cannot sell our work. Period.
6. We will be conducting Google searches every week, so plagiarists should beware.
7. ALL members are required to participate at least once every month. This can consist of a review - the easiest way. Or one may send in fanart (banners), playlists, writing challenge suggestions, etc. Or one may participate in our bi-monthly topic discussions. If a person is too shy to participate publicly, he or she may email or PM us privately, and that will count as participation.
8. If said reader will be absent from PlagiarismHaven for a month or more, he or she is required to contact us at plagiarismhaven(at)gmail(dot)com and let us know, so we will not delete that person. Make NO mistakes, we do perform monthly deletions.
9. Common courtesy is a must. This means no displaying rude, hostile, or threatening behavior toward the PH authors or fellow readers.
REQUIRED COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
This is non-negotiable. Every PH member is required to participate at least once every month. That means the minimum of one time every month. You may review us - that's the easiest way to satisfy your monthly quota. You guys can send us fanart, playlists, writing challenge suggestions, etc. You may participate in our bi-monthly discussions and polls. Emails and PMs count as well.
We do monthly deletions because, yes, we keep track of you guys. We have our Excel lists, so we know if you've participated or not. We delete approximately 100+ people every round.
This is a list of common complaints we hear from deleted people:
1. "Wah, wah, I thought you guys didn't mean it!"
2. "You GUYS ARE SO SELFISH! OMG! YOU GUYS SUCK!"
3. "I was sooooo busy!!! Why can't you see that?!"
ERGO, YOU GUYS ARE SUPPOSED TO USE THIS FORM OR CONTACT US AT PLAGIARISMHAVEN(AT)GMAIL(DOT)COM IF YOU HAVE TO BE AWAY FROM PLAGIARISMHAVEN MORE THAN A MONTH.
THIS ONE IS ON YOU. WE WILL NOT HOLD YOUR HAND.
FAIR WARNING
We do NOT accept every PH membership application. This is because we've had our trust violated and abused by the Great Plagiarism Fiasco and by many people who screamed at us for being selfish, egotistic, uppity writers. If you were one of them, consider yourself permanently unwelcome.
More to the point, this is not Fictionpress. We screen all membership applications for those people who reviewed us faithfully in the past (and no, we don't mean silent readers) because we "know" them.
PlagiarismHaven is a safe refuge for us writers to interact with the readers and for us to showcase our stories and make people happy. Ergo, we will not accept people who have rudely called us names in the past. We don't care if you "didn't really mean it" and you were "only angry at us for 'betraying' you by taking OUR stories away" because, guess what, you said it, and we don't forget. Ever.
Since we've had our stories stolen multiple times, we tend to allow only the readers who have reviewed us. By that, we mean people who actually left reviews for us (whether it be a FP review, a PM or an email).
READING DOES NOT EQUAL REVIEWING.
If you were one of these silent readers and if you are one of the people who discovered us after the Great Plagiarism Fiasco, you are welcome to apply, but be warned, your chances of being accepted are very low.
THE JOINING PROCESS
Have you guys read the rules? Have you guys understood our required monthly participation quota? Do you guys still want to join?
1. Get a Livejournal account. You guys cannot become a part of our Livejournal community without a Livejournal account.
2. Go to the PH FORM. Fill it out. Yes, even your Facebook information. If you don't want to give it up, no problem. We just won't accept you. Simple!
(We're exchanging our stories for your personal information and your pledge not to plagiarize us.)
3. Click on the "JOIN THE COMMUNITY HERE" line you see in the form. If you guys don't do that, then our hands are officially tied. We cannot accept you until you click on that button.
4. Then you wait for us to accept you. This may take a matter of weeks or months because it takes time to sort through your applications. Some people have waited months to get into our community.
If you guys truly want to annoy us, please email us two days after you've filled in your PH membership application and scream at us about how we're lazy cows.
5. We will announce our adding round.
6. You check our member list to see if you've made it. We accept so many people every round that we cannot individually notify every one of you. Therefore it is on you.
7. If you see your name on our list, you LOG INTO LIVEJOURNAL under your LJ user name and your password. This is why you need a LJ account.
8. You read our stories and enjoy!
OKAY, I'M AN ACCEPTED PH MEMBER. NOW WHAT?
Have you logged into our Livejournal community under your LJ user name and your password? Many people don't do this, and then they wonder why they can't see anything.
We suggest you check our PH story listings, so you can click on any story you want to read.

ENABLE YOUR PM FUNCTION - We will sometimes contact you via "private message." If you have read the "PH for Dummies" then you know how to do this.
TRACKING ENTRIES - This will teach you guys how to set up your notification alerts, so you know when your favorite writer has posted or when your favorite story is updated.
PLAGIARISMHAVEN GALLERY - This is our new gallery where we authors put up our community graphics. Our old one was deleted, so we're still in the process of putting up all the pictures again.
BANNER SUBMISSION - Should you make a banner for us and wish to share it with us, just submit via the form! :)
WHAT ELSE?
We are not currently accepting any more new PH writers, but we would love to refer you guys to our sister community "The Write Away." The people there are wonderful and enthusiastic, and more importantly, they are truly supportive.
Be aware that, however, their rules are not necessarily the same as ours, so please take a careful look at their rules first. If you participate only in TWA, but not in PH, you will be deleted. Vice versa.
