(no subject)
I got 5 hours sleep today; work shall be interesting. However, I managed to get to the insurance agent and get signed up with a company (who I'm perhaps going to move my house insurance to as well, so that will be convenient). It's a little expensive when you have no prior driving record, but at least it should only go down from here. Mum drove me home after and I collapsed until 4. Then I was picked up, dragged to the Honda dealership, watched the dealer get flustered 'cause they hadn't managed to get my new plates *and* managed to lose the spare set of keys. In the end he had to hook me up with his dealer's plates temporarily.
And then I drove home with my Dad. In my new car. I even went to the grocery store and drove home after *on my own*. I've never been in a car on my own before, was very unnerving, but I managed to do it without running into anything. Also managed to park the car in the carport and leave enough space to get around the front and out of any of the doors. I'm almost tempted to drive it to work to show it off tonight, but driving instead of taking a 20 minute walk seems terribly lazy.
I wish I could have a nap before work, but I might not wake up in time. Good thing it's someone's birthday and we shall have chocolate cake at breaktime - might keep me up.
