I finally got a hotel reservation made, but my hopes of finding a place to live are sinking further, and I don't know what to do.
And I don't want to live in a town full of snobby rich white people, either (many of the housing ads list MAIDS as a utility, for an idea of how far outside of reality these people are)
I can't afford to be paying 1000$ a month to live in someone's shitty closet far away from anywhere I need to be, but any listing in my price range/good location is, of course, LADIES ONLY or MUST BE FULL-TIME EMPLOYED PROFESSIONAL OUTSIDE THE HOME!! I hate this town already, and I'm not even there yet. And I don't want to be there.
I could rent a 2-bedroom apartment right across the street from my school for 1400-1500 a month. If I could find a roommate, that would mean I have a place in a great location and within an acceptable price range, which would be perfect. But if I couldn't find a roommate...
if i can't pay 1000$ a month in rent, I really can't afford to be trapped in a lease where I have to pay 1400.
Feeling worse and worse every day. What if I worked this hard for 3 years to go broke in less than a year back in the US because there is nowhere for me to go?
