My Orthopaedic Surgeon walked into our appointment today and extended his right hand. I take it and return the handshake. He pauses for a moment and says "You shook my hand".
My X-rays show bone growth and he says that X-rays are always a little behind what is actually going on because you grow cartilage first (doesn't show up on X-rays) then the cartilage grows into bone. So it sounds like my bone stimulator is working, which is a good thing. He says no push-ups, and watch the impact stuff, but other then that I can start ramping up my strengthening program. Apparently I heal pretty fast though. My Femur healed twice as fast as it should have. The bone in my hand that was REALLY messed up healed pretty fast.
