Being as new to Placebo as I am I was wondering is Meds a bad cd? There's been a rather heated discussion about it on a web site I stumbled on which seemed not worth the effort so I didn't join it but it did make me wonder if this cd was not as popular as their previous stuff

I myself really do listen to a wide array of music and find each album to have it's own worth. I got all the Placebo albums and both DVDs within a ridiculously condensed amount of time so I was able to digest the discography as a whole. Alot of earlier fans simply are uncomfortable with Placebo going so far away from thier roots and others simply think it's an awful record.

LOL that's what I'll be doing with the band too. I just got Once More With Feeling which will be followed, as money allows with various raids on ebay for their stuff :)
I was just curious about the shit people have been saying about Meds. Personally I love what I've heard of it so far but since I have no real idea of their early stuff I just thought I'd ask :)
Although I should really understand. I loathe Manson's new album, mostly because I dont like depressed Manson I guess

The only song I don't like so far is Follow the Cops Back Home. Nancy Boy is my favourite Placebo song outright so far which I know isn't on Meds :)

I love their version of Running Up That Hill. Not being a Kate Bush fan I was a bit hesitant about listening to it and the Boney M cover they did of Daddy Cool. I love their version of it although I'm so used to Boney M's version of it, having grown up with them *groans* I love guitar drive music and their version of Daddy Cool is a vast improvement on the horrid disco version Boney M did :)
The Bitter End is a great song too. I found that song by way of a Queer as Folk fan vid :)
