A hopeful update from Place
Hey there everyone,
So, we did a show last week, It was a very interesting experience, you know why? Of course you don't, you weren't there. Dan was dying an couldn't play. It was just Sam and I. It's was bare, but we weren't really taking it seriously, so it was a lot of fun.
We ended the night with 20 minute jam, that was the special surprise. I don't think anybody caught onto that, a lot of people asked me, "So, what was the special surprise...oh, a twenty minute spree into self-indulgence...great!"
The jam went on too long, but we actually came out of it with a couple of new song ideas, so yippie, I say. We just wanted to prolong the rock...is that so wrong?
So, that's that. It was a fun set, but just sort of silly.
But now, it all July 22, July 22, July 22. CD launch, CD Launch, CD LAUNCH.
Oh boy, it's hard to do things. Real hard. I just hope it gets off the ground. It will get off the ground. IT WILL, IT WILL.
The night will feature City of a Hundred Spires, and Vanier in their breakout debut performance. It will rock, I know it will.
Obviously, I'll give you more information closer to the date, but I just wanted to remind you all.
For the first time in a while, Place will be doing a show that is all about us. A celebration of us. Is that ego-centric to say? I don't know, but this show and EP is very important to us and might mean the start of a real band-life for us. Who knows.
