Kurogane pocketed what was left of his own money and started walking to the bar. He had to stop once when two shop owners had to stop and chat in the back alley Kurogane was trying to get through. Finally they left and Kurogane was able to slip into the backdoor of the bar without being seen.
He was more pissed that this had happened then anything else. Because of what this would do to Yuui when he was the one who hadn't done shit. Kurogane had an idea of how to stop this from happening again, however he didn't like it and would have to talk Fay into it first.
Kurogane heard Yuui talking to himself as he walked into the office, "Keep your gun."

The barkeep jumped when he heard Kurogane's voice, having no heard him come into the bar. "Kurogane!" He said, turning to face the other. He sighed softly, glancing back at the books. "Keeping my gun isn't going to help us eat or get clothes. If it'll give us enough money to survive off of for a little while, then so be it."
"I know that you rather that I keep it, but other than my glasses and the bar I have nothing else to sell. My glasses won't get much and without the bar we're left without a source of income." He said, standing up to greet the bounty hunter properly.

He moved towards the desk and reached into his pocket to pull out the same package he had once asked Yuui to keep in his safe. Smaller now since Kurogane had been living off this money. Kurogane set the money on the desk for the barkeep. "Here. This'll see you through a month or two."

He was surprised when Kurogane put the package on the desk. "I can't take your money! What will you survive off of?" He asked, picking up the package to hand back to him. "Keep it. Please."
Reply
"I can't help you any other way right now. And I won't leave you to suffer cause of something I did without doing something." Kurogane kept his eyes on Yuui's, ready to explain when the other caught on that this had been partly the ex-lawman's fault. Yuui had been told before that some retaliation was possible for Fei Wong, but now his opinion would have shifted probably.

"You mean something that Fay did. Unless he's dragged you into his games." The barkeep said, looking suspicious of what was going on. "Please keep the money at least. I'll find someway to survive. I rather that you keep yourself out of jail and away from the noose."
Reply
"He didn't drag me in ta anything! I have enough to get by for a few weeks and no one cares who digs their ditches. I'll be fine." He pulled the money back out and tossed it back on the desk.

"Then why was my house destroyed? I assumed it was out of Fay's stupidity, but now you had a part in it?" He glared up at the other, having half the mind to slap him. "Are you sure you will be fine? I can't stand the thought of losing you. Especially now..."

He looked up as the other moved and automatically wrapped his arms around Yuui. Kurogane sighed, still smelling smoke on both of their clothes. "I won't starve and I rather know you won't either."

He scrunched his nose up at the smell of smoke, but ignored it. "Promise me Kurogane..." He said, looking up at the other. "Promise me that you won't."
