Nerves on edge, back sore, and hopes dashed, Lelouch wasn’t quite sure if he was relieved he was through being made a fool of to some random stranger in another dimension or miffed he wasn’t able to drag it out any longer. And it entirely had to do with the unstable pile of limbs perched atop his hips. As soon as the prince was sure the transmission with Kanda had been cut, he immediately began squirming again, trying to get out from beneath the once rabid, but now eerily silent Suzaku and off the unforgiving wooden floor of Lelouch’s designated bedroom.
Honestly, of all the things that could have made the Knight go quiet...
“You're no stranger to manipulation and betrayal. How convenient it must be to use the corrupt nation you work for as your own personal scapegoat.
Try dragging my corpse before the Emperor if you're so interested in an extended vacation.”
Once upon a time, Lelouch may have been able to predict just what part of those words had affected Suzaku so, but as it was, he could see nothing in them that his rival surely hadn’t pondered before. He supposed the brunette was just that revolted at the thought of being so similar to the man he despised, the man who had taken away his beloved princess, and Lelouch couldn’t help but smirk. Sometimes it was downright alarming how easy it was to manipulate and push the green-eyed boy’s buttons.
Of course he was really in no position to be making such an expression, and it was high time that little problem was resolved already.
“If you’re quite finished trying to detain this monster, I would most appreciate it if you would elevate yourself and release me now. I think it’s been made clear that I am up to no mischief, Suzaku.”
