Who? Azula and open to anyone
What? Azula just recently arrived to Charon and has lost her communicator and now she is going back to look for it.
Where? Somewhere in the depths of the swamp...I guess.
When? Late morning/Early Afternoon

Azula had never been to the swamp lands at home nor did she ever really intend to. It was a disgusting and a ( Read more... )

Katara found herself between jobs, and a bit hungry, as she navigated her modest wooden skiff through the watery channels and paths. It was easy for her to make a path, where vegetation had formed, so getting around was not much of a problem ( ... )

Azula was so enraptured in her frustrated thoughts that she didn't even feel/hear the presence coming. But once she did, she was slightly startled by the presence she came across. It was foreign and yet....vaguely familiar all at the same time.

Hmm that voice sounds vaguely familiar She furrowed her eyebrows as she attempted to place the voice with a name, as well as the person she saw at the corner of her eye. Her eyes went wide in sudden realization. It couldn't be that waterbender...could it? Azula could see the girl and figures that it was merely a hallucination. Well why not decide to play a little game with the little peculiar specter. Hmm lets have some fun shall we.

Azula figured that she decided to play a little game of "tag" so to speak. She figured her eyes were playing trick on her. Plus she wanted to get a handle on her target before she decided to attack. So instead of responding to the figure she saw. She started running as fact as she could, while managing to avoid being tripped by a branch.

Well, if that didn't take the cake... the run was running away. What the heck was her problem, Katara wondered. She was becoming just a little annoyed at this situation. All of these weird people were falling into her lap. Why did she feel as if it was somehow up to her to help them out?

Aside from being annoyed, Katara was also curious. Why had the girl run away? Was she really from another "world" like those other two people? She hopped back into her skiff, and began bending the water around it to move forward quickly. Expertly, she navigated the skiff through the vines, and stopped at a point she hoped was ahead of the red-clad girl. There, she waited, waiting for her to appear.

The Fire princess was definitely pleased at her results. It was just as going as planned. Even when the lovely little waterbender decided to track her down and now was standing in front of her, Azula counldn't help but feel please. Truly the water tribe member hadn't changed a bit since their last encounter, except for her clothes perhaps ( ... )

Katara didn't like this girl. She was very much unlike the tw she'd met earlier. They were rather friendly and receptive to her assistance, but this girl just had a presence that made Katara a little nervous. That smirk didn't help matters any.

"How do you know I'm a bender?" She blinked and tilted her head a little. She'd certainly never met this girl before. Perhaps she recognized the necklace she wore. That was the only logical explanation. "I came over here to see if you needed any help, but then you ran away like some kind of idiot."

Azula began to pace back and forth as her mind began to race. Who would ever think that she would meet another crude Avatar waterbender in her travels. Of course this person wasn't the same waterbender, which in the end made it all the more peculiar. Sure, the time witch had mentioned that such an occurrence might happen, but Azula never thought in her wildest dreams this would happen.

How ironic indeed Azula on the other hand was quite perturbed by the girl using such a derogatory and unoriginal insult as "idiot". If it wasn't for the fact that her mind was a buzz with this new encounter, Azula probably would have incinerated the girl immediatly. Though to counter that prospect of action, Azula would never act in such an uncivilized manner, even to those she considered unworthy ( ... )

Uneducated and uncivilized? What the hell? Katara balled up her fists and marched out of the skiff and over to the stranger, sizing her up from a closer perspective. She smelled like charcoal. It wasn't exactly a pleasant or for that matter, common, smell. Katara wrinkled her nose and stepped back.

"I don't know who you are, but if you think you can survive one night in this swamp alone, without having any idea of the dangers that lurk beneath the water's surface... be my guest." The waterbender huffed and spun around, crossing her arms but remaining in place.

Azula was interested now. She smelt the urge for a fight in the air and Azula was more than thrilled at the idea. After all she always enjoyed taunting people especially when she could provoke them to be so violent.

Lets see how far I can push her buttons shall we.

Azula sauntered to get right in front of her but just far enough that if the water bender was provoked.

"Ohhh? And here I thouht the insignifigant water bender was going to play with me." and gave a mock pout, "you're ruining my fun..."

Katara stood in place, gritting her teeth as the dark-haired girl goaded her and just made her completely uneasy. She wasn't used to people acting this way, not unless they had drank too much of the ocean's water... but the ocean was pretty far away.

"What's your problem?" Katara marched up to Azula, pointing her finger right at her face and scowling rather unattractively. "I.. I.. I should just leave you here to deal with the frogs." As much as katara was trying not to get emotionally involved, the water in the air around the both of them was gradually thickening into a dense fog.

Azula swatted the finger out of her face, talk about disgusting. "I can take care of the frogs by myself. Thank you"

Azula stepped up to be right in her face almost, but stepped off slightly since she didn't want to catch her unsanitary stench of the swamp. She sneeredd at her, "And such fearful frogs are they not.I guess I have a lot to worry about since some of these frogs are you distant cousins right? Wouldn"t want to pester the relative of the dreadful frogs now would we? "

The waters around the island they stood began to wash upon to the land, more than they normally should. Katara was angry. She wasn't showing it so much as feeling it, and causing the water around her to bend without her conscious effort.

"What the heck are you talking about? Related to frogs? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard!" She huffed and spun around again, taking a step forward. She was growing tired of this girl.

Clearly her experiment was going slightly worse than expected. Instead of provoking an attack she was making the bender angrier then she wished. The princess scowled as she felt the air presence change. Clearly this bender was proving to be quite powerful when she was upset. Better to just simply get straight to the point and not bait her further, since Azula clearly did not want to be involved in a fight where there was the probability that she might lose.

"If you really think I'm so ridiculous then fight me and prove that you're right in this matter, unless you are too much of a coward to do so."

The water bender clenched her fists at her sides, gritting her teeth as the other girl spoke. Arrogant... so arrogant... it really bugged her.

Without really thinking, Katara spun around, facing Azula again, as a large wave swept out of the water and headed right at the spot where Azula stood.

Right on cue azula grinned to herself.

Azula saw the wave by any means, especially such a forward attack right off the bat her anger is getting the best of her

Azula squatted down steadying herself before using fire to propel her out of the way and settling herself onto a tree branch.

"Its your turn now bender."

Katara returned the grin, now, standing up straight and moving her arms before her. She reached out, as if pointing strangely at Azula, but then, curled her fingers in and pulled them back.

The smaller limbs of the tree became animated, as well as the vines resting within them. They all moved quickly, moving in an attempt to wrap around the fire bender.

Azula had no time to react or to be shocked for that matter at what happened next, the vines were actually attempting to grab onto her.

It was a pity she had to use her bending here. But she had to give credit where credit was due. Plus she could handle the waterbender easily if bending was involved.

So just as the vines were just about to twine around her ankles and pull her down. Azula let out a swipe of blue fire, and flipping off the branch and towards the ground.

The fire princess changed her stance and was now ready. It was time to see how much this fight could amuse her.
