maybe i should have written that on my jap final today, which i totally bombed...unfortunately i don't actually have that excuse. (wth is that kanji anyway?)
yep, definitely should have written that on my paper. i *have* watched wing...(and one of my goals this holiday is to watch it again, so if you or your sister feel the urge to get into *another* gundam fandom...*grin*)
the teacher made us sing along with some jap song or another to show us conversational forms in use. several times. i now have it majorly stuck. plus it's a jap class, half the class probably watches too much anime or reads too much manga. so proclamations of gundam-hood should fit right in...right? :D
HMMMMMM......*EVIL GRIN* xD unfortunately, the wing pretty boys are all underage...and if i remember the series properly, there's no crack-insanity...
ohgod the te-form song! my first teacher had us do it to...i think it was 'santa claus is coming to town', and my second chose 'london bridge is falling down'. (hey those two rhyme) i think every sensei has a different te-form song. >.< so disturbing. hm, you guys seem to be learning really, really fast...or is it just that my current classes are really slow?
though omg, remind me to tell you guys about the dance camp i went to last weekend, where the teacher made us sashay do swivels across the floor to the rhythm of 'frere jacques' and had the entire class, of adults from all over the world mind you, humming it. in chorus. and one thing about dancers, they have good pitch, tune and rhythm. i about died. then I some bright spark started singing the chinese version, which caught on like a house on fire with those who spoke chinese, and then the teachers (who were from sweden and france) sang the french, then someone did the english...children's songs are truly universal. xD and i'll never forget that class
( ... )
But Pratchett is amazing. I have been reading little else for the past... oh, 3 or 4 years, since this mad woman and another friend introduced it to me... =P
