Vacation!
Off to Croatia for two weeks. We're staying in Rtina, a tiny village in the middle of nowhere - we've stayed here for the last two years as well and it was fabulous and I sincerely hope it's going to be that way this year too. I think I have everything ready - the key stuff anyway - like my husband says, all you really need is your ID and money. We're leaving at 4:30 in the morning, which is a great adventure to the kids who spend the first half hour in stunned silence, eyes wide open, on the back seats, and then slowly,one by one, nod off. ;)
There will be no internet access and getting internet through cell phone would be madly expensive, so we're not going to do that. and I don't want internet access anyway; I want to relax and not think about anything remotely connected with medicine, and write my story in the peaceful evenings as the quiet waves lap the shore and the seagulls cry mournfully... and a bunch of kids excitedly plays "Settlers of Catan" and demands to be put to bed with at least five stories... oh well. I just want to write a LITTLE. ;)
