(no subject)
December runs by with incredible speed. We've got nearly all the gifts, and I'm relatively happy with them, particularly the ones that contain something we created ourselves.
The tree is pretty barren right now. All the cookies from the previous batch have been eaten. A new batch is waiting for be hung and I need to bake one more tomorrow - absolutely no energy to do it today. Plus we hadn't yet done the Nativity Scene! Yikes!
On a personal front, I've been thinking more about work and trying to attain a better level of quality... still not sure whether I'm close or not. I wish there was some way you could sort of grade yourself, and track your improvement. ("Have moved from 54 to 54,5 on the Good Doctor scale of 0-100. Getting closer!") Also, it's probably Christmas/New Year - in some ways one of the busiest times in the year for me in our home - I've been thinking more about God again. I'm feeling some more of the closeness again... though I've forgotten to go to the Confession today. *rolls eyes* It was at 5pm and I cleanly, absolutely forgot. I remember at 7:30 as I was reading a book.
Anyway, I'm sort of feeling hungry for more good Christianity books again. I love Christine Marshall, but I think I've mostly ready her most eloquent works. I wonder if there's something by C.S.Lewis that I hadn't read? Quite likely...
